Motivational Monday

Prioritizing yourself isn’t selfish. Prioritizing yourself is necessary! For some of us, we find ourselves feeling bad for prioritizing ourselves or choosing to do what’s best for us or choosing what’s safe for us or choosing what’s safe to us. I feel like I’ve spent 80% of my life trying to embrace and live this concept. However, most recently, I feel I have unapologetically started walking in this truth. This change has led to some serious introspection which has led to some deep digging. This change has has led to tough conversations. This change has led to a shift in perspective. This change has led to engagements being postponed. This change has led to cancellations. This change has led to enjoyable self-dates. This change has led to intentionally arranging to have things to anticipate after work. This change has led to being mindful to take the time to daily fill myself back up . This has led to me looking in the mirror and telling that beautiful reflection staring back at me that she’s special, beautiful, worthy, and of value. The noise is quieting and the growth is forthcoming. This change has led to balance. This change will lead to complete liberation.

Now I’m inviting you

So to each of you reading this blog please receive permission to give yourself permission to prioritize yourself so you can first be taking care of by you.

Cheers to change.

With love, peace, harmony, growth, and joy

  1. Great post, what stood out to me was towards the end when you said “telling that beautiful reflection staring back at me that she’s special, beautiful, worthy, and of value.” It makes sense because until we feel of full value, we will continue to “save face,” and agree to doing things we don’t want to spend energy doing.
    It is a daily practice!
